What a shower!

Featured Replies

There's about a metre of water on 3rd Rd north of Pattaya Klang, and in Soi Sophon a tree has fallen down, hitting two cars and partially blocking the road.

Several potted plants were blown over on my balcony and a chair almost went over the edge.

I can`t remember such strong lightening for a long time.An incredible sight (and sound)

Well, that was a storm and a half!!

The darkside inundated with enough rain to float the ark. Multiple lightening strikes and reports of trees falling on cars, etc.

Power just come on around my way - really amazing how the power company are able to fix these outages so quickly. thumbsup.gif

No power in Khao talo yet

Be careful to stay away from the standing water in the streets, if you can... I picked up a case of leptospirosis a few years ago by wading around in the streets of Pattaya...

Still no power

Our estate was without power for 8 hours yet out in the soi everything was business as usual! Now I have no truevision or Internet. Shows how frail the infrastructure is after a huge storm. Pray we never have to endure a natural disaster here.

what annoyed me as I drove back from the office to Mabprachan through the back roads trying to elevate to higher and higher roads, are all the people with their stupid big trucks, especially the monster ones that are the fashion these days who were pussyfooting around and scared of going through an inch of water. Lost count of the number of times I had to stop in 12 inches of water for a few minutes whilst some guy in a huge big truck looked around all worried even though a vios had just gone through the water no problems at all.

They were busy taking selfies for Facebook!!

Started bucketing down again at about 12:45 this afternoon (Saturday) but thankfully minus the thunder and lightning. Again, very happy to be 5 floors above the street-level deluge.

9th floor here in Jomtien. The storm yesterday was really something to see. I hope everyone has there power and TV back soon.

I live in Jomtien, another downpour this afternoon. Both days we have not lost power(said with my fingers crossed).

We were driving home just as it was coming into Pattaya. I've never seen it so dark. Probably the most amount of rain we've had from one storm this year?

Another biggie today. Not quite as much as yesterday, but almost!

I agree regarding the darkness. I've never seen it so dark in the middle of the day and briefly wondered if I had missed the fact that an eclipse was underway.

Run for cover !!!!! Head to the basement.

There are some good reasons if condos rules forbid plants on balcony edges...

Good point however they were not on the edges and just toppled over breaking the pots.
