No problem with scrutiny of my wealth, Prayut says

BANGKOK: -- Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha maintained Monday he has no concern about scrutiny of his wealth, saying he was confident about details of his assets reported to the anti-graft agency.

Prayut also promised to fully cooperate "in line with the law", over the scrutiny of his assets.

"If I were not confident, I would not have disclosed the actual details. It's up to you if you will believe it. I have cooperated well already. You should also ensure fairness to all," he said.

PM: Happiness is Govt’s NY present for people

BANGKOK, 3 November 2014 (NNT) - Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-o-cha has instructed all ministries to give happiness to low-income people as a New Year present. The government sympathized with them but they had to cooperate with it on street vending regulation, said the premier.

Gen. Prayuth on Monday spoke about his administration’s New Year present for Thais, saying both government units and many enterprises had expressed readiness in making Thai people, especially the low-income ones, happy. All ministries had therefore laid out plans for them and some of them had already been implemented, such as the land allocation for the people who were affected by the government’s street vending regulation.

The government relaxed the regulation by allowing street vending in a designated period of time, said the PM. The government was trying to regulate street vending in all areas while finding measures to compensate the affected vendors, Gen. Prayuth added.
