Unusual profile activity.

Just recently I have noticed an inordinate number of new members finding my profile page on their first day of membership. Then, within a couple of days, their names go black and they become inactive (banned?). Is there something going on I should know about or is this common across the forum?

We are having problems with a banned member signing up time and time again. We're pretty good at detecting this, so when discovered, they are quickly banned again.
