Does anyone know where to buy good old-fashioned lard (not Crisco) for baking?

I haven't found white lard here. There is brown lard which is good for making some mexican dishes such as refried beans. You can get that from the places that make fried pork rind, a Chiang Mai specialty. But for white lard I I think you'll have to buy pork fat and render it yourself. There are recipes for this on the internet.

anyone want to render beef suet?

I found Hachiban Trading company but you have to buy 10 kg at a time.
