Apec summit: World leaders gather in Beijing

The CCP Boyz in Beijing have put the PRChinese that have joined the middle class in the middle income trap. The bogus economics of the past 30 years have propelled the PRC in growth but the growth has been false, as the link below discusses.

The consequence is that the CCP's economy and financial system are a house of cards built on sand and enveloped by bubbles.

The middle-income trap occurs when the policies that help raise countries out of poverty cease to work, but governments refuse for political reasons to adopt different ones. Very few countries ever escape to become rich. For a decade, China slowly ensnared itself in the middle-income trap. After Xi Jinping’s first two years, it remains tightly bound.

Beijing controls the publication of all economic numbers and can continue to insist everything is fine. But if Xi does not quickly move beyond talk to profound pro-market reform, China will not slow or struggle—it will just stop

The Great Fall from Grace: Is China’s Rise Over?

A combination of inaction and daunting challenges threatens the end of China’s economic rise. Not a delay, the end.

Your posts consist constantly of predictions of China falling ...I am hoping like the rest of the more realistic poster this will not happen

Having 1.3 billion people being refugees and swamping the world system is going to overwhelm everything.

Governments are set up to ensure success of the country and people ...sometimes they will have policy errors and sometimes they get some things right

Being CCP or communist doesn't change that basic requirement of good governance ...they have made some errors along the way and they are also correcting them on the way

In reality I can see Scandinavian countries stepping up next on the world stage to take control after the gradual fall of Asia in the next 30-50 years

All dramatics aside I dunno anyone who believes or even considers that Scandinavian countries will or want "to take control on the world stage" now or at any time going forward. Nor is it apparent the Scandinavian countries are in some sort of pick up the pieces and take-control-of-the-world union or would enter into one.

The CCP's fundamental precepts are completely wrong and are in fact anti-market, not only in economics and finance but in the ancient notion that dictatorship is the modal form of government that can deliver the goods in the 21st century world. The CCP's dictatorship is in fact an unprecedented mongrel dictatorship combining Marx, Engels, Lenin, Stalin, Mao, Deng Xiao Peng, Xi Jinping, Vladimir Putin and Richard Nixon.

The CCP has been going nowhere fast, always has been going nowhere fast, spinning its wheels.

Besides, the multiple of trillions and trillions of dollars of debt that are involved in the CCP's crashing of its own personal economy are confined to its own banks, its own state owned corporations, its own equity and bond markets, its own monopoly game currency, its own self-created capital, its own goods and services and so on. The impact globally of the CCP's demise while taking its PRC with it will be minimal, affecting trade more than anything else.

The fundamental lure of Marxism is a contempt of wealth, the wealth of nations especially and in particular. The CCP as with the old Soviet CCCP has been concerned only with creating a wealthy ruling party that is the only party in a one party state. The corrupt tsars and the corrupt dynasties of corrupt Chinese emperors have never been concerned with enabling a prosperous nation because they consider that in a dictatorship they have no need of any such concerns.

Which accounts in large part for their fundamental, predictable and demonstrated failures and their 100% rate of failure.

Isn't that the context of it ....no one talks about world dominance like some posters would think is the most relevant

Scandinavians would pop up as the model some governments that think be most ideal ...they are balancing their immigration needs, protecting their environments , having steady birth rates and a quality of life that does not overwhelm the society at large and a strong self economy

That is really what we are talking about .....replicating that is hard and it's also not perfect as the taxes are very very high to create that and not all Asians accept that in an environment that is often perceived to have the highest corruption among civil servants

Surprised I had to remove a post from a well respected member. This isn't like you to write this sort of thing. Is everything okay?
