Russia promises all-out effort to facilitate MH17 probe, says Najib



BANGKOK: -- Russia has pledged that it would do everything in its power to facilitate the investigation into the Malaysia Airlines' flight MH17 crash over eastern Ukraine in July, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak said, as reported by New Straits Times.

Najib said he and Russian President Vladimir Putin had agreed that the ceasefire between the government in Kiev and the eastern Ukraine rebels must be upheld to allow the investigation team safe access to the crash site.

“We are hoping that both sides will observe the ceasefire and allow the investigation team full access to the crash site. Unfortunately, this has not happened,” Najib said.

He was speaking to the Malaysian media in Beijing after having bilateral meetings with Putin and several other heads of government during the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) leaders summit, which ended yesterday.

The Prime Minister is departing for Myanmar to attend the Asean Summit immediately after APEC 2014.

Najib said Putin had expressed sympathy to Malaysians and acknowledged that securing full access to the site is crucial in finding the cause and perpetrator of the crash. MH17, en route from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur, crashed in Ukraine’s eastern region of Donetsk on July 17, killing all 298 people onboard.

I vote because I am forced to against my will so I normally just scribble/put a line through the form. No decent people to vote for.

This news would be hysterically funny, if it were not so sad. King Vlad is about as interested in investigating this probe, as he is in looking into why his old Gasprom buddy founder was jailed after becoming one of the richest men in his country, once he stopped supporting the Russian Czar, or how he himself was able to amass a fortune of over $40,000,000,000. This is one of the least honest men to rule in our lifetimes. His intentions are ALWAYS heinous. Virtually anything he says can be construed as a lie. That is who he is. He was taught to lie effectively by the KGB, and he continues doing so, to this day, on a daily basis.

Anyway. I am sure you are right about Putin. He is also probably not as polished at covering his tracks or using spin or playing legal niceties like say a Dick Cheney who is probably as dishonest, dangerous and heinous as Putin.

For some reason, an awful lot of Russians seem to support him.
