Shale gas is a scam and is not profitable at all. The reason the US does this is to manipulate global gas prices which they have done so recently which basically crushed the ruble in the last few days. This evening Oz TV claimed the naval exercise was previously announced by the Russians January this year. Oz navy ship and an aircraft have been deployed to monitor their activities. A translation thing, or is he referring to something else? Russian is one of many languages that have no articles (such as a, an, the). English would be crippled without articles. So when translating/interpreting from Russian to English the translator has to decide when to use articles. In many cases, it's very difficult (maybe even impossible) to determine whether to use the definite article (the), an indefinite article (a/an) or no article at all.
