mizztraveller
I've put this question on Tripadvisor but without success. Currently living in Chiang Mai but want to head out in February when the smoky season arrives. We're looking for somewhere we can get a little bit of comfort on the beach, ie lounger and umbrella. I know that they've all been removed in Phuket but remain in Hua Hin. So what's the score in the Krabi/Lanta area? Are there any, including those attached to hotels? We're just a bit too old for lying on the sand under the sun and want to try somewhere new. Many thanks.

mizztraveller
Thanks but have been to Khao Lak and found it totally soulless!
Zenobiz
Neither Krabi or Koh Lanta has lounges and umbrellas. They both belong to the national parks and hopefully they will stay that way regardless that some people wants it different. Try Phuket, Phi Phi Islands or Racha Yai - They might have some left. taninthai
if you want beach chairs, umbrellas you need to stay at one of the few 5 star resorts with beachfront access ,sheraton, tubkaek , krabi resort, beyond resort with the exception of krabi resort all the other hotels are in the kloung muang area.
