Experts say Avian flu danger not over

HEALTH experts yesterday warned that Asia’s bird flu could still spark a deadly human flu pandemic, and urged all countries to step up readiness, as Thailand confirmed that a 39-year-old woman had become the 23rd person to die from the virus.

Meanwhile, China declared it was now free of bird flu after stamping out all known cases.
