Dear All, in July I was monitoring from abroad the witch-hunting going on here. As a serial multiple entries tourist visas user, I decided to return with something different in my passport, so I applied for a non imm B multiple entry visa with a Bangkok-based lawyer. He sent all the paperwork by email, I went to a Thai consulate in my country, and 10 minutes after I had a grand visa in my passport (and I was 450 EUR poorer).

At the airport I saw visa runners taken out of the queue, but I passed through as a businessman.

The thing is I don't have any biz and have no intention to apply for a job. Nobody sent me here to attend a trade fair or to look for business partners. I'm a businessman without biz.

The first 90 days have passed and now I'm going abroad for my 1st visa run.

Question: can a nosy immigration officer make trouble to me? Asking what I do, which company provided the papers for the B visa, and so on. On arrival 3 months ago the officer just asked: "what do you do here?" to which I answered "export". But I might find a harder guy, one that doesn't like my face and wants confrontation.

It happens too often nowadays, but this is a different topic...

All constructive comments on the above are really appreciated.

All the best!

Theoretically, yes, but I have so far seen nobody posting that this happened to him.

You could be asked to show a work permit or be questioned about what you are doing here.

It is more likely this will happen at a boarder crossing than at an airport.

UbonJoe,

I was under the impression that a further 90 days after the initial 90 days was only granted on a B Visa upon showing of a work permit and that a B Visa is only initially granted for 90 days not 12 months?

Is it still possible to extend for each 90 days by flying in and out without showing a WP?

These are not extensions, are new entries. One can legally stay up to 15 month with a non-immigrant multiple entry visa.
