Popular Post sensei
I went to 7-11 last night to buy something. I asked the cashier if they sell the tuk-tuk coin bank they have on display outside. The cashier explained something that I could not understand but I guess she is saying that I have to buy something worth 450 before I could buy it. I just bought a few things that is just around 200. I just left the store thinking of buying more when I go back. I was already outside the store when the cashier ran after me and motioned me to come back in. I went back inside and she handed me the coin bank while saying, "No money!! No money!!! FREE!" I did not undestand at first but I then realized that she was giving the coin bank free of charge. The coin bank wasn't worth that much but her gesture... PRICELESS! Thailand - you are still amazing!
pgrahmm
A good many good, refreshing things to see and experience in LOS - many in the places most would least expect it (and never venture out to find)...... Have to get out with the people away fro the "hot" spots and it really doesn't take long.... Edited November 30, 2014 by pgrahmm

henry15
Once you out of Farangland, and touristplaces, you will enter a different kind of Thailand. Personaly, I think is ha something to with Farang and tourist behaviour. I live in Bangok Metropolis.
MauiSteveBKK
Agree! I love Bangkok and my condo in Phayathai part of BKK. But we spend a lot of time in Nong Khai and her village in Tha Bo. It's a different world and much more "Thai" than BKK -- but there are good people everywhere in Thailand.

Yes you are right, it is, especially when you are dealing with ordinary common people, people who work in the markets and 7-11s etc.
