Thai govt welcomes domestic and international views on reform

Featured Replies

They don't seem too quick to suggest how we might contact them or arrange a meeting.

On a slightly different topic, with just a couple of flashlights you can go out at night and turn the lights on and off up at the sky and vector in ufos from many different star systems. Apparently, according to one government whistleblower, most aliens are actually here just for a holiday and are curious to have a look at us.

The Government have following a newspaper not allowed to mention here picked a few hints from Japan and South Korea who have been in a similar reform process not long ago.

I believe that the Thai government has a special file cabinet for just this purpose.

"He affirmed that the government would listen to all parties, where the opinions and ideas from Thais living abroad would be collected by each country respective Royal Thai embassy and forwarded to the National Reform Council (NRC)."

And to finish off.... :

"Welcoming ideas from other countries does not mean we have to follow everything they suggest but should adjust what has been shared with us to suit the system and the style of Thai society without neglecting international principles."

Well if the job they did with adjusting the legal system they adopted from the UK and other foreign systems then there really is no hope for anything of value!

1. Be civilised and allow those married to a Thai national and living in Thailand residency after a period of, say 5 years if no criminal record etc?

2. Allow foreign ownership of land, houses and businesses.

3. Stop all this jingoistic, flag waving nonsense. Abolish slavery and abusing the poor from Myanmar, Laos and Cambodia.

4. Stop thinking Thailand is a special case in everything. You are not part of some fairy story. Wake up.

5. Respect democracy. Even if your chosen side doesn't win.One person one vote. And they all count equally. Sorry, anything else is not democracy, no matter how much you try and dress it up.

6. Maybe the armed forces should realise that the people pay their wages and they should think about protecting their democratic rights, instead of terrorising them with tanks and guns.

7. Freedom of speech. And I mean freedom of speech.

8. Reform the Education system. Academic freedom for universities. Real salaries for teachers (Thai and non-Thai) and inductive learning rather than rote. Work permits issued quickly for foreigners. Ofsted style inspections. Less 'shows' more education.

9. An end to double pricing.

10 An end to corruption.

Or I could just say....Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhhhhhhhhhhhhaaaaaaaaaaahahahahaaaa! Silly Farang!!!

Theres very little resembling the UK legal system, I think they use the term based on the UK system just like they like to pretend and claim the international community accepts the Thai Junta PM and understands or the UK ambassador is happy and satisfied with the KT case.....its all just self serving, idiotic, fantasy land BS and lies.

As for them welcoming International views they asked for it.

Adopt a system from another country that works and is fair. Stop ripping up constitutions every few years, stop with the coups, get rid of the military dictatorship that has held Thailand to ransom for the past 80 years, make the military subservient to civilian rule and start acting like a responsible country and enforce the law equally and fairly rather than acting like a gang of thieves, thugs, liars and spoilt whining children.

And stop making excuses every few years its "them" when its the same junta over and over creating an environment that maggots breed in.

100% pure bull sheet

After writing up a new constitution, try to stick with it longer than it took to write it.

Yes, but after writing a constitution, and holding elections, how do you find anyone with enough talent, creativity, open mindedness, intelligence, vision, and ability to lead the country? Who are we talking about here? Just thinking of the list of recent candidates, or leaders makes one take pause. Chalerm, Yingluck, Korn, Abhisit, Sundaravej, Chulanont, Chaovarat, Chamlong, Sondhi, etc. Who are these people? Where do they come from? Why did they have so little to offer their people? Who are the future candidates? Is it possible to find any real talent? If not, will anything ever change?
