12 year old Thai boy rescued after escaping abuse by aunt
Police rescued a 12 year old Thai boy who fled his home in Nonthaburi province, near Bangkok, after being brutally abused by his aunt. He also sought help for his 14 year old sister. The 45 year old Thai woman, Wanpen Chaimart, filed a missing person report at Sai Noi Police Station on Tuesday, October 15, at 7.37pm, stating that her 12 year old nephew, whose name was not disclosed to the public, went missing. He walked out of the home at around 12.30pm that day and disappeared. Fortunately, a local in the province came across the boy last night, October 17, sleeping near a pile of rubbish outside a village in the Bang Bua Thong district. The resident provided assistance and later took him to the police station to be reunited with his family. The person who found the boy told Channel 3 that the boy was attempting to hide. He laid down near the rubbish pile and covered himself with a cloth. His body was covered with ants. Upon arriving at the police station, the boy unexpectedly refused to return home and revealed the tragic details of his situation to the officers. He showed them his wounds, bruises, and scars, stating that his aunt beat him, and he no longer wished to stay with her. The boy added that his 14 year old sister suffered the same abuse. She was recently reprimanded by their aunt after leaving home to meet her boyfriend. The boy’s sister admitted during an interview with Channel 7 that the children‘s aunt beat and scolded them both but claimed that she did so out of love and care. She said the boy often left the tap running or the gas stove on, putting the family at risk. Officers attempted to speak with the boy’s aunt but she fled her home and is hiding from the police. Other family members also refused to reveal her whereabouts. As of now, the boy and his older sister are under the care of the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security (M-Society). Police will send them to a hospital for medical examinations to document any evidence of physical abuse, in preparation for legal action against their aunt. by Petch Petpailin Photo via Channel 7 Source: The Thaiger -- 2024-10-18 -

Its Happening - Law to Tax Overseas Income Now in Progress
Yes, but to avoid that - simply make what was called the "load of money" or "capital gain" in a year you are NOT tax resident. Then it's never taxable in Thailand. So, not really any different to the idea of staying a Non Thai Resident in years where you remitted, which is what people were discussing previously. Either way the whole concept is seriously Unworkable/ Unenforceable IMO. -

Bill Maher questions harris’s husband ,slapping a woman controversy
The husband of Vice President Kamala Harris was accused of 'forcefully slapping' his ex-girlfriend. "Real Time" host Bill Maher questioned whether it was wise for the liberal media to continue avoiding the growing controversies surrounding Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff. That’s confirmed,“He knocked up the Nanny” Maher responded with a chuckle. This aint the same media I grew up with! https://www.foxnews.com/media/bill-maher-questions-media-avoiding-doug-emhoff-controversies-wouldnt-make-look-worse -

If Trump is re-elected what does it say about the I.Q of the average American?
Conservatism is NOT easy to understand. Read the Road to Serfdom and tell me if that's easy reading. If you want to truly understand conservative principles it's actually a highly intellectual exercise. What "new concepts" do you think Harris voters understand which Trump voters don't understand? It's preposterous. I think Jordan Peterson often gets it right, but on this one he's a bit off. And Trump is very obviously a conservative, he wants to conserve the ethnic make up of America, he wants to save US industry, he wants moderation on abortion, how is Trump not a conversative? -

Interesting. You're right - he's anything but traditional conservative. Though he is dangerously anti-progressive (for want of a better contrast word). I've not really tried to pigeonhole him politically. His creed is money and greed. He seems to stand for no other policy than his own aggrandizement. He is also clearly coming off the rails and unfit. However, it's way too late for the Reps to switch the ticket to a younger generation the way the Dems did. So they're gonna try and heave him into office at any cost, then retire him a year or so in to replace him with Vance. Then the US can really look in for some serious faeces. -

If you have any saving before 2024 why pay any tax. I will say 500000baht (my tax free allowance is 555000baht) is related to my tax income the rest from my savings before 2024. That way it leaves me with enought Thai tax free allowance to claim back my Thai savings with held tax I have also have received a letter from my UK bank stating what my savings we're before 2024 -
