KhunBENQ
Another surprise! First view says: these are chickens. But comparing with pictures from the internet: its very difficult to keep them apart at this early age. So I could be turkeys, but can't tell for sure. Wife says: they are "little bigger". So find a comparison chick. Typical image from the internet: Edited December 12, 2014 by KhunBENQ
willyumiii
It is hard to tell when they are small. If they are turkeys, it will be obvious soon More gawky and awkward then a young ( Pullet ) chicken. Note: Young turkeys seem to be susceptible to many diseases and mortality is pretty high. A good way to prevent this is to build a raises coop, well off of the ground, with a chicken wire mesh floor. When they are juveniles, they can be allowed to roam. Question: Do you know where I can get some baby turkeys within 50 km of Khorat?
Toknarok
The pictures are not very clear at all Keeping both turkeys and chickens I can tell straight away, I would say that yours are chickens. There's not much difference in size when they are first hatched. Toknarok
I've had another look at the photos, they were much clearer this time for some unknown reason. I think you may have a mixture here. The chicks with the dark stripes on their backs and wings may be turkeys, the others probably chickens. Have a look at their beaks, turkey chick beaks tend to be a bit broader and shorter than chickens.
