I'm on a tourist visa that I got from Savannakhet (and I've already extended it at immigration)..

Can I just go get another tourist visa at the same location?

I believe you advised me that you did not see them requiring proof in Savannakhet in the future has they have not been asking for it for so long already.

Has something changed your view?

While on the financial proof question; when one goes with the above visa to immigration for an extension of stay do or can they ask you to show the 400k or 40k proof there?

Just the 20K tourist visa funding for the visit perhaps????

With a non-O visa proof of finances is normally not ask for at the border.

If you want an extension of stay from immigration you do not need proof of income for a 60 day extension, but for a 1 year extension you do need proof of income or of money in the bank.

Income from abroad is shown with a letter from your embassy, money in the bank with an updated bankbook plus a letter from the bank.

For a one year extension you need to show 400k bath in the bank or 40k baht income.

For a 60 day extension to visit your wife no financial proof is need.
