December 16, 201411 yr I have a multiple tourist visa 3x 2 months and have to renew it. Is it still allowed to fly out of BKK and come back the same day? Are group visa runs by coach from BKK still allowed and organised? I have proof of 400k baht on the bankaccount in case necessary. Thanks for the help, the new rules are confusing me.
December 16, 201411 yr Yes, you can come back the same day. Yes, there are organised tours from Bangkok by mini van.
December 16, 201411 yr There are no new rules for doing tourist visa entries. The only restrictions are for visa exempt entries. You can still do a quick turnaround back by air or land. Their are still companies doing the runs to border from Bangkok but many of the companies have shutdown.
December 16, 201411 yr I have a multiple tourist visa 3x 2 months and have to renew it. Not quite sure whether I got you right. What do you mean with "renew"? A ) Apply for a new visa out of the country which is hard (or not) doable in one day ("visa run"). B ) Or simply use another (second or last) entry with your still valid visa? ("border run"). 400k in the bank, what relation to a tourist visa does this have? B ) is no problem either by air or by mini van (land border). You know that you can extend a 60 day stay on TR for another 30 days without leaving the country? Edited December 16, 201411 yr by KhunBENQ

You know that you can extend a 60 day stay on TR for another 30 days without leaving the country? Thanks a lot for the info. I am in Thailand for 58 days now so have to renew my visa by leaving thailand and come back. I don't want a 30 day extension because i want to stay longer. The 400k baht in the bank is to make sure the immigration will let me in and even with that money i'm nervous to enter Thailand again. If they refuse to let me in i have a big problem. While applying for the Visa they advised me to always bring proof of having enough money with me. And even that is not a guarantee that i will be allowed in. Also they made problems about visa-runs i did in the past, just fly to Singapore and back the same day. I have never overstayed or had any problems with Thai authority's and i want to keep it like that, that's why i asked. Thanks again!
December 16, 201411 yr They do not ask to see money in an account. if they ask to see money (because they suspect you are not a real tourist) they will want to see cash.
December 16, 201411 yr what is your goal regarding staying in Thailand 6 months or longer. 6 months you can do the 3 x 60 day stay that your visa allows, if longer ie 9 months then you should do a 30 day extension at local immigration on each stay (1,900 baht) as long as your last border run is done before the use by/valid to date of the actual visa
December 16, 201411 yr You can do the 30 day extension at an immigration office and then do your next entry as long as you do it before the enter before date on your visa. With a 3 entry tourist visa you can get almost 9 months of stay by getting the 30 day extension for each entry. You just have to be sure you do the 3rd entry before the enter before date. Don't worry about doing your entry. If you want to be prepared to show financial proof you should have 20k baht in cash to show if asked for it.
December 16, 201411 yr Author Okay i will also bring 20k baht cash. I want to stay 2x 60 days and don't want to spend a day at the immigration office sitting on a small chair for hours. Hey i'm a quality tourist , not a Burmese worker.
