Question about ED Visa

Featured Replies

A few weeks back I paid my school to get an ED Visa which cost me 22k. They gave me all the documentation and told me that I will need to goto the Thai Embassy in Laos, but I told them I will be in London at that time. The school said that I can go to the London Thai Embassy so now I am back in London I am going to visit the Thai embassy today, but my concern is will they ask for extra fees even though I've paid for my visa?

I have the letter and all the documentations, so would someone be able to give me some advice?

Thank you.

You have only paid tuition for a course of study to the school not a visa.

You still have to pay the 50 pound fee for the non-ed visa.

Ok, I think I might do this in LAOS. I've been out of the country for over a month. Can I apply for another single entry tourist visa even though I've had 2 already to allow me 60 days in the Kingdom while I get all this sorted?

No problem to get another tourist visa.

Ok thank you. I will do this instead.

Also keep in mind that whatever documents your school will have given you will be addressed to a specific embassy. So if they think you were going to Laos they will have addressed it to the Laos embassy. If you do decide to switch to London (which it looks like you're not going to anyway) then you'd need them to fax or email you a new cover letter in Thai addressed to the London embassy.

I've been down that road before with London, rejected application due to the wrong embassy being addressed, a lot of scurrying about with fax machines. ermm.gif
