If I got this right I must go to thai embassy out of Thailand ? Was thinking Cambodia

Is to early to get the ed visa now ? Or do I need do visa run since I have never done one really confused about that never done one b4 any info would help thanks a lot

Yes you need to leave the country to get your ED Visa

When I got mine I went to Phnom Penn (sp) took 2 days to get the visa,

You obviously need to leave before your 90 day O visa is up, before you book anything I would check Embassy websites to ensure they are not closed for holidays.

Do you know exactly what paper work they need ?

Been searching the web and thai visa

And so many conflicting post I have acceptance letter fron

The university Does it need to be addressed to the embassy in Cambodia

Do I need letter from ministry of education

Do I need prof of income ?

I retired us military so not a problem

I am not sure Cambodia is the best place to get the visa. Normal time to get the visa can be up to 4 days unless you an agent an now agents cannot do the application for you to get a non-ed visa.

Requirement for an ED visa from Vientiane embassy website.

" Non–Immigrant "ED"

This type of visa is issued to applicant who wishes to enter the Kingdom for the purpose of studying, attending seminar, training session, or internship.
Document required are;
1. Letter of acceptance from the concerned academic institute/organisation
2. Copy of registration certificate of the concerned academic institute
3. For those who wish to study, an official letter from the Ministry of Education of Thailand, or other sub-authorities
concerned, approving the enrolment of foreign students is also required
4. Academic record and the Student ID (if currently studying) "

http://vientiane.thaiembassy.org/vientiane/en/consular/consular_check/

Embassies will be closed from the 31st to the 4th and reopen on the 5th.

If you had the documents required you should be able to apply for an extension of stay using your non-o visa entry. There is no requirement for you have an ED visa.

As always useful advice from Ubonjoe.

OP you do not need to provide proof of income.
