BANGKOK: -- Siam Commercial Bank has joined hand with TrueMove H to provide True Move H "Tourist Inter Sim" card to tourists who exchange US$100 at SCB Exchange Booths at Suvarnabhumi and Don Mueang Airports.

Each SIM will entitle tourists to 10 baht voice calls, 20 MB of Internet usage, and 1-hour of free WiFi while staying in Thailand.

SCB is planning to make this service available at more than 100 of its exchange booths nationwide soon.

We got this recently trough Dtac & Kasikorn Bank, over $100 exchange my friend received a free sim card and then took 2 week waiting and numerous calls to get the number activated anyway not complaining it was free hehe TIT w00t.gif

You can also go to the Airport Link station at Swampy can get one FREE, without even using their services.

7/11 giving away free True sims. Just need to buy something. 69 baht for unlimited internet for 7 days. Call costs very cheap; 1 baht to other networks, free to other True numbers as long as you have some credit.

What do they mean by 10 baht voice calls?

10 baht/ minute is more than I pay now, local and international.

10 baht fixed price per call of any duration would be good.

I used to have an Inter SIM, and got 1baht/minute international to landline calls, but was persuaded to swap it over a year ago when they said they were withdrawing GSM.

They give them away as you get off the aeroplane. No need to exchange money at a relatively poor rate.

They aren't sure if the International calls are from 1 baht or from 1.5 baht. The included literature states both. Hey ho...

They try to suggest that you top up at least 150 baht, but as you know, there is no need for that. Any Top-up is fine.
