Not only Thais scam people.

Featured Replies

I was sat in an Internet cafe in Phuket, the owner is a friend of mine, know him for years, He asked me to look at an e mail sent to a Thai lady, who was in his shop at the time. The jist of it was a guy had met her a few month ago, He had been texing and sending e mails to her. Love you and all that crapp, He said he has sent her a parcel through he post, it had been detained by the Thai post office, because they wanted $650, the parcel contained, a tablet, gold watch perfume, and a few other so called expensive items. He said that she could send him the $650, to him and he would forward it to the Thai post office, It was a scam obviously, I told her this and she could not quite believe it, I told her to send a tex to him thanking him for the parcel, and say that she had no money, could he send her the $650 so that she could get the parcel, I saw her a few days later, surprising she had not heard any thing from the guy. I wounder how many other poor Thai girls have been seamed. The texes and phone number he gave where from the UK,

It is all part of a ploy to revitalize the "ol empire". It has to start somewhere.

Nothing new here, neither in the title of the OP nor the story.

Sadly, there are dishonest people everywhere and they look for vulnerabilities.

My wife's sister got that same E-mail.

Highly unlikely it has anything to do with The UK, other than the origin likely to be from an old colony.

Has this fact just dawned on you?

It happens all the time to poor Thai.

Not only Thai are easy to cheat but poor people are always an easier target than rich ones.

Scammers now this and use it.

If it really did originate in the UK it can be reported and the police there may act as it is fraud.

But it's much more likely to have originated in Nigeria or somewhere similar.
