fishingforsquid
In Little India....outside the little mall to the right there is a stall selling samosas for 12 Baht.......get them in my belly! Know where your talking about, go up the street from I think it is called India Emporium, where the samosa's are at, on the other side of the road closer to the river, before Royal India, there is a luggage shop and a short trok, down there is a goat curry that would impress.

Inside the mall on the top floor is a food court....the dosas at the South Indian place are excellent and again I think 50 Baht. Royal India has good desserts too.

JuliaB
Tomorrow will be the best falafel in Bangkok....stay tuned JT. There is no good falafel in Bangkok. Prove me wrong. Patra's in Sukhmuvit Soi 3/1. Served up with freshly fired naan and the usual delights. D-freakin-lish. Falafel is wrapped in pita bread not naan. Nice try. smokie36
So let's talk about Nadimos....I ate at the one in Silom the other night. The lamb shish had a meaty smell so strong my gf didn't want to eat it.....the hummus was just bland....the pizza things they do are good. I see Beirut on Thonglor closed down....I wonder why lol? Cedar I have never heard of before. There we go.

tutsiwarrior
do any of these places deliver? when I'm at my usual hotel on suk soi 6 there's a 7-11 next door where I can get vodka and mixers and I don't like moving too far off home base... kbirkins
The seafood Pad Thai at Hoi Tod Chaw-Lae is very tasty. As you're walking from the BTS Station on Thonglo, its roughly 150 m on the left. Give it a try- you won't be disappointed...
BKKBobby
Pad thai enveloped in crispy egg. Expensive since it is a local not fancy restaurant. Its about the location, its next to the corner of suk-thonglor. Delicious. 100 something baht if i remember correctly

Still there sits at the back if Pizza Hut opposite Subway. The food is Ok but I think around Sukhumvit Soi 3-5 the food is better with higher turnover. The ambience I'm not so sure about. CodyB
Daniel Thaiger on soi 38 usually operate from 5:30 onwards. For 180THB you get a burger that would cost you 500+BHT in most other places. Sabai Jai Gai Yang on Ekkamai is very, very good as well for Gai Yaang Somtam Dishes Phra Khanong has the best Kao Mun Gai I've ever had in Thailand, it's on Soi 45 The Indian Restuarant on Sukhumvit just outside of Nana Station has a very nice mutton curry but expensive Mos Burger in Terminal 21 is very nice Limoncello Pizzeria in Soi 11 was great 2 years ago , haven't been there for a while though Still find pizza really lacks in Bangkok though.

Smokes are you turning into JT or just preparing for a TVPOY campaign later in the year? It could be a tough contest now you are back! Down the street from Peppina is Isao a Japanese place serving great sushi and their superb volcano scallops. A bit pricier at about 700 Baht a head....or more hehe..... tartempion
Suda: no, Limoncello: no Bit i like The duck corner soi 15. And found excellent Thai food in soi 7/1 left hand side, a bit expensive, open place (thus no airco) Had too much drinks but would find my way back to that place. Yes for la Monita. TheSpade
Bad Motel, J Avenue, Thong Lor Try the Nam Tok with Sirlon Steak. Very spicy but the beef is very tender and tasty and it ranks up there with some of the better food I've eaten in Bangkok. Not even expensive either considering how good it is and the location (sit out the back in the courtyard), most dishes are around 220B. The southern style ribs are also good and tried a few appetizers which hit the spot. Cocktails are also very strong and tasty.

Duck corner is good if you get there early cos it packs out....a famous spot that. La Monita is great but the price just keeps drifting north unfortunately. Need to try the Taqueria stall at On Nut but I hate the new market...as for the 3 Baht charge for the loo....ugh!
IMA_FARANG
Or just go to Soi 38 and take your pick from the stalls. I used to live in a guesthouse, long since closed, on Sukhumvit Soi 38. Many memories of good "Fish ball" soup and noodles at those stalls.
