Police: Orderly overall situation on New Year

BANGKOK, 9 January 2015 (NNT) – The overall traffic situation during the New Year’s holidays was orderly as a result of the strict measures enforced that helped reduce the number of accidents and fatalities, said the police spokesman.

The Spokesman of the Royal Thai Police Pol.Lt.Gen. Prawut Thawornsiri reported that the overall situation during this New Year’s holiday was considered orderly as many organisations had taken care to improve the conditions of the roads in advance.

He said that another factor that had relieved traffic congestion is the fact that there were more holidays in this New Year's season, allowing the public more time to travel. However, congestion issues were still found on the Mitraparb Road in the day when people were traveling back to Bangkok. The police had to open an additional lane to help ease the inbound congestion.

Meanwhile, the police had strictly suppressed the selling of alcoholic beverages, effectively dropping the number fatalities this year by 6-7 percent.

The police spokesman has also said that the police are now prepared to provide security on the Children’s Day with police officers stationed at many locations set to host the Children’s Day event.

yes, very orderly, police didnt have to leave their air conditioned offices once during the holidays, in fact they even had their families join as they had nothing better to do, after all the flashing lights and traffic cones slowed everyone down, why should they go outside and do anything and make themselves all sweatyw00t.gif

Sickeningly stupid. Can't believe these cancerous idiots can go around patting themselves on the back when the fact remains that more than 300 people died. Never mind that this number is less than last year. Sheesh... What do these people have for brains???
