Elaborate news item saying "no rules" here on NGOs ?

Featured Replies

I saw a note that seemed to say that a NGO can be formed and operate in Thailand without the documentation and rules that apply to the formation of a company. Can anyone elaborate?

Specifically, could one person form a NGO and operate it in Thailand without the rules of work permits, minimum Thai owners and workers, and other business rules?facepalm.gif

You still need work permits and getting one registered properly as a legal entity will not be easy certasinly if you thinking of trying to set one up to circumnavigate work or business rules or to secure a long term visa

There are still rules that require work permits and etc.

Not sure what the procedure to register one but it would not be easy or cheap.
