It will depend upon the immigration office you go to. Most will probably do it after you pay an overstay fine of 2000 baht.

You should make every effort to do it on time.

And you provide a good reason to cash some extra money from you.

if the expiration of your current permision to stay expired over the long holiday, you should be able to do it today without penalties, Depending on the location that you use, if you are able to get into in the door nd don't get crushed by the mob!

Overstay is only not charged if your permisison to stay ends on a day immigraiton is closed and go to immigration the first day they are open. There was no long holiday this week, so it is an overstay.
