sorry does anybody know what happens when a true contract (1year) is running out?
Will it extend automatically if i don't quit it in time?

It will run out in March and I will leave the country in February.
My understanding is that the router is also part of the deal - but I think it will become me property once the contract comes to an end.

You have to cancel otherwise it rolls over. Not sure about router.. ask them!

You have satisfied the contract period....the service will not stop but just continue on at the current monthly price until you terminate the service. You are "not" locked into another 12 months....you can cancel at any time.

Whether True will want the router back will depend on the type of service you have now...if it's ADSL service they probably will not want the router back...but if it a cable router they will want it back as they consider it on loan to you. They will tell you when you get ready to cancel if you need to turn in the modem/router also.
