White Christmas13 Posted January 14, 2015 Share Posted January 14, 2015 To come to the point right away My nephew has a Sony Vaio laptop OS windows 7 home premium 64 bit when he starts the computer it shows the start up logo then stops and just keeps repeating the logo and repeats and repeats but does not get any further then showing the logo I can not help him with that since I am a computer illiterate he does need the computer urgent for his studies while he is in uni Any advice how to overcome this problem and get his computer to start up again? Mr Somtam Posted January 14, 2015 Share Posted January 14, 2015 Maybe the mainboard battery is empty, in a laptop those can be really hard to replace, soldering sometimes and opening a laptop can be a real m@@@@@f@@@@@r too... If so, follow the instructions (Startup repair): What are the system recovery options in Windows?
