While there are undoubtedly good woman drivers out there, this pressing the wrong pedal issue does seem to be a gender thing. Many years ago while driving new car home from the showroom, stopped at junction and wham from behind. Woman donning high heels: "I'm so sorry, my foot slipped off the brake pedal!" Stroll on. Two girls got out of their car looking sheepish, it was on a straight section of road so i guess they too forgot which pedal was the brake....
