96tehtarp Posted March 9, 2015 Share Posted March 9, 2015 It is correct in this thread to mention that Cayenne pepper in no way resembles Thai chilies in either taste or aroma anymore than jalapeno chilies do. I don't get to Tops or Villa often, however in the Thai towns near the Burmese border ground Cayenne chili powder can be found. They eat it. Most Thai people wont. Kudos to those chili aficionados here who made the distinction. (Now if I could only find fresh scotch-bonnet chilies and Tabasco chilies.)
