We need to leave for Laos to apply for a new tourist visa. However we have two little children. Now some people are saying that they need not go with us as children under 12 don't need a visa. And others are saying that they need to fly with us as they need a visa. We are trying to save costs as well as limit the stress on our children? Does anyone known the the correct facts?

Children regardless of their age need a visa and extensions of stay.

What was being referred to was probably the fact that children under the age of 15 are not fined for any overstay. In that sense they can stay without being punished.
