Murder suspect arrested for second slaying

SONGKHLA: -- A man wanted for killing his ex-girlfriend in Sara Buri has been arrested for another death, allegedly killing Wiriya Thian Witthaya School director, Doungkhae Khunthongphetch, at her home in Songkhla's Hat Yai district on January 15. Police claimed the motive was jealousy.

The 52-year-old astrologer Suwat Nil-opa was arrested in Muang district along with 26 valuable items of Doungkhae's - including her cellphone, computer notebook and wallet, Songkhla police chief Maj-General Ampol Buarapporn said Monday.

Suwat was also wanted for the murder of his ex-girlfriend Krissana Noisena , 45, in Sara Buri province in 2009.

Police said he confessed he and Doungkhae had been in a romantic relationship for the past two years but she allegedly talked with other men on social media. They had been boyfriend-girlfriend during the high-school in 1982 then separated. Suwat said Doungkhae married but broke up from her husband after 10 years and reunited with him. Suwat claimed he lost control and killed Doungkhae.

So you "lost control," as if that was some sort of excuse, but then you make off with 26 valuable items that belonged to the victim?

I think you would have to be pretty much in control if you bothered to search through her things and choose 26 of them to take.

This has happened time and time again. One murder is let slide. And it happens again 3 or 4 years later. Just like kt. In a few years another beautiful young girl will die. Then the police might do something.
