iPad mini screen cracked in CM.....where/how much?

Featured Replies

An early Mini.

Several cracks but can still use.

Where, how much?

(I'm surprised how cheap on ebay)

Oh.....as I say the iPad is still working fine.....is this likely to continue?

thanks!

Popped in a shop behind CMU and was asked 3500 which when he saw me go pale reduced to 3000 baht.

Bearing in mind these screens are on ebay for $12 in the US and a new Mini of the older version is I think 6000 baht I would like something much cheaper if honourable TVers can tell me where!

ps The screens come with a kit to get in the thing.

I would be happy to do it myself (I think)

In Pattaya I found a local shop that ordered the original Apple replacement glass and did the work for 2000THB. They said they could replace it with aftermarket glass for 1500.

Thanks for the info SMCColley

I've now had an offer for 2000 from my lovely phone lady who made a call.

But she suggested that given the price I just grin and bear it (not the end of the world ) or put the money to a new one.

I'm minded to try and get hold of one from ebay or somewhere and do it myself........but never imported anything before wonder about duty/complications.
