Featured Replies

Hi

I started Working in a Company in Phuket last Year. i agree with the company owner To Pay all expenses For Visa And Work permit by company but For Second Year I must Pay all expenses For one year extension by myself. Now after one year i asked The low office that do all jobs for our company to tell me how much is the expenses for extending my work permit and visa and the reply its cost Around 23,000 Thb . after i search web i found that it's cost around 3800 THB for visa and 3000 THB for work permit . and i know that their office must charge me for service fee . but I want to know how much the exact expenses for this job that must pay to government and how much is the normal law office service fee for this. Please advise me about this case because i heard that if i want to do it by myself it is to difficult .and tell me how much service charge for such services and if you have any experience about this case.

Regards

The fee for a work permit is 3000 baht and the one year extension of stay is 1900 baht. If you get a re-entry permit it costs 1000 baht for a single and 3800 baht for a multiple.

You can do the extension of stay application yourself but it requires a lot of company documents and tax records.

It is about the same for the work permit.

I have read the fees for a agent. lawyer or accountant ranging from 5000 baht to more than what you mentioned.

My first work permit I paid a lawyer 6,000 Baht to do all the paper work. Since then I have always done it myself, with proper documentation. They actually charge 3,100 Baht for the W.P. for a year. I think the extra 100 Baht is like a service charge.

You pay the 100THB when you manage to successfully file your application, it is officially receipted and is a 'booking/queue' fee.

You pay 3,000 THB (receipted again) when you collect your completed WP.

The one year extension costs 1,900 THB (re-entry permit single 1,000, multi 3,800 THB needs to be bought if you need to leave/re-enter Thailand during the period of your one year extension.

So your company's law firm is making 18,000 if they charge you 23,000 THB.

Is the documentation for the original WP and Non-B the same as for the extensions of both? I would assume it's less but do not know. I do know that the paperwork for the first time Non B app and extension and the WP app is EXTENSIVE. I would have no problem paying about 25000 to a qualified attorney for that service.
