Ok so here is what's happening.

  • I am from America
  • I arrived here November 12
  • I have a 2 entry 60 day tourist visa.
  • I have done 1 visa extension, Paid 1900
  • I need to leave the country and then back in to start the 2nd part of the tourist visa
  • My current visa extension expires February 9

Questions:

  • Can I just go to Laos, Cambodia, Myanmar over the border by land and then back in to start that 2nd visa?
  • I would prefer to go to Laos as it would be easiest for me and can see friends along the way
  • If I go over the border is there a certain amount of time I have to spend in said country or can just come right back?

Thanks everyone in advance for your help

The permission to stay date stamped in your passport is not the "critical" date! The You must make your second entry on or before the "must enter by" date that is ob the visa. If the visa was issued in the US that date will most likly be 6 months from the dat the visa was issued, but you need to check that date as it is the "critical" date! Your visa expires on the date no matter what date is stamped in your passport!
