Tottenham Thread

The way to tell if a club takes the FA Cup seriously or not, is by their

team selection, weakened or not?

Obviously Tottenham and Chelsea felt it wasn't so important, hence why they

both fielded weakened teams and paid the price by getting knocked out.

It would probably not have been the case, if they didn't have the midweek

2nd leg semi finals coming up.

Both cups are important to the fans, it's just unfortunate that this FA Cup tie was

sandwiched in-between the 2 legged semi final we're involved in, otherwise we

could have fielded a full strength team.

I know, but it's a shame that players nowadays have the inability to play two games a week.

I think they do have the ability as players, but managers/coaches in the modern game

don't want to risk them for injury and fatigue.

Also last Wednesday to next Wednesday is actually 3 games in 8 days.

Especially when two of them are against Sheffield United.

You didn't mention cups, you said "implode".

It's been an annual event for you since 1961.

What times the draw for FA CUP 5TH round?

Think most on here are more focused on or cup semi final.

Now you are through to the 5th round i suppose that unstable dutchman (you know him, the one who's confusing all your players) will start complaining about a fixture build up!!! whistling.gifsmile.png

Forgot to ask you MrEd, what formation do you think Louis will go for next weekend? 352 4141 3412 4321 3412 442 3331? laugh.png

Or has he confused himself as much as his squad? thumbsup.gif

Pat Jennings.

He signed my "History of Arsenal" and he really does have hands the size of dinner plates, and what a nice bloke too.

I recognise Perryman, Burkinshaw, Clemence, and Hoddle,

Don't know the others though.

What a bunch of barnets.

Can't believe Lloris isn't going to be in goal tonight!! Vorm made a howler in the 1st leg but aside of that its a semi final with a great chance to go to wembley and win some silverware.

Surely you field your strongest side for a cup semi?!!

NB to Poch. Don't play Kane on the left, it doesn't work. Play him upfront with Eriksen central and keep Adebayor and Soldado on the bench.

Interesting to know that we've just offered Kane a new 35k p/w contract. The interesting part is that the other two strikers earn 190k p/w between the two of them.

Maybe Utd should sign him better than some we have.
