NaiGreg
I have an appointment on the very last day that my previous extension permits at Immigration in Chiang Mai. In the past we have always gone to apply for an extension about 3 weeks in advance. What is the risk going on the last day (other than a road accident or serious illness?) Is there a hard rule about this? I ask because appointments are ridiculously hard to get and impossible to change. Thanks for any and all responses. Mario2008
It is perfectly fine to go the last day. The risk is as you sad a car accident or something else, but also the risk that you forget a document or immigration wants to see an additional document. You would than have to arrange it the same day, although immigration sometimes allow it to be send at a later date.
