Kissinger protesters 'scum': Senator John McCain

Washington: -- US Senator John McCain had a blunt message for demonstrators chanting for the arrest of Henry Kissinger at a Senate Armed Forces Committee hearing on Thursday: "Get out of here, you low-life scum".

The protesters, from the Code Pink anti-war group, drew the ire of the Arizona Republican who chairs the committee after some of them approached Mr Kissinger as he took his seat at a hearing on global security.

Members of the group held up handcuffs and anti-Kissinger signs and called for his arrest for "war crimes".

Kissinger is a duplicitous vindictive warmonger nothing more nothing less interested in furthering the cause of the arms manufacturers in the industrial military complex that in reality controls American Presidents, Senator's and Representative's using Madeline Albright as his obnoxious ally and Mc'Cain as a mounting step.

Henry Kissinger represents a dying breed of politician. Very few around who are still active from the Vietnam War days. Every time I see him, for some reason I think of Dr Strangelove, not a Nobel Peace Prize laureate.

Vietnam: From 1969 through 1973, Kissinger, working for Richard Nixon, oversaw the slaughter in Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos, which led to the deaths of millions of people. Many thousands more died from the affects of massive doses of Agent Orange and from unexploded US bombs that cover the countryside.

Chile: Henry Kissinger was one of the principle architects of the coup in Chile on September 11, 1973, a coup that overthrew the democratically elected government of Salvador Allende. Sixteen years of repression, torture and death followed under the rule of Kissinger’s friend, the fascist Augusto Pinochet.

East Timor: In 1975, while working for President Gerald Ford, Kissinger pre-approved the Indonesian dictator Suharto’s bloody invasion of the small island of East Timor. By the time the Indonesian occupation finally ended in 1999, 200,000 Timorese – 30 percent of the population – had been wiped out.

My Korean army friend told me that the North Vietnamese sniped and terrorist-rocketed Americans, but were terrified to do that to the ROK army. Why?

If they launched their Communist-terrorist attacks against the ROK army, the ROK army would enter the nearest Communist village and commit what the UN would call "massive human rights violations".

In war there are always innocent people that die. As far as the communists that died fighting in Indochina, they should have killed more of them. "operation Liberty Dawn"? More details please as I've never heard of this and Google doesn't come up with anything either.

It was the original name of the coalition/NATO campaign that removed Gaddafi. If memory serves correct, they changed the name shortly after the operation began because all the media was doing was poking fun at the name and ignoring the actual impending war at hand. Along the line of ridicule were things like "liberty dawn sounds like the name of a stripper....."

US media is so mature and professional on these matters.... Lol
