Hi

I am looking for some 6 volt 2 cylinder tachometers ,

Are there any bikes sold in Thailand that would use something like this ?

I plan on using it on my Citroen 2cv so I can adapt it to the dash,

I also heard of a tach that just clips onto a spark plug wire like a good tach/dwell meter ,

does anyone know if the "clip on" tachs are 2 cylinder ? I have never seen one so have no idea what they are used on

The 2cv is so slow , I just want to see what it revs too and see if that is just what 425cc gets you or if the motor is not revving all the way

thanks for your ideas

Best bet - buy 12V to 6V converter, then any 12V tach that will run twin cylinders will work.

Amorn has converters.

If you get a clip-on pick up (tach/dwell) type, the number of cylinders, and the voltage of the system should be irrelevant.

Maybe no need to mount it on dash once you have obtained required data?

Unless you're looking at comparing the two cylinders(which should be going the same speed unless you have a really funny...and we are speaking of a French car here...crank), the clip on style will work just fine. And since it works off the Hall effect, it doesn't matter the number of volts your electrical system has.

Unless of course it is a Lucas...and then you need to sacrifice 2 goats, a chicken and ritualistically burn the car to the ground.

I kid....kinda.

Unless of course it is a Lucas...

That's why the Brits used to drink warm beer - they had Lucas refrigerators.

My BSA would quit if it saw a puddle of water, let alone drive thru one.

Has anyone seen the clip on style in a round dash gauge ?

I know I can get the handheld shop tool but would like to mount something inside the 2cv

And no Lucas here , they did make 2cv in Slough , not sure if they used Lucas or not
