Jai Dee Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 Interior Minister says public needs must be considered when working on the city plan The Interior Minister, Air Chief Marshal Kongsak Wanthana, has insisted that public demands have to be considered when laying down the city plan, so it could support the development and expansion of the city in the future. ACM Kongsak presided over the workshop under the Alliance to Develop the City Plan project at Miracle Grand Hotel on Viphavadi Rangsit Road, where 19 provincial governors and relevant agencies joined this event. The Interior Minister said the new dimension of city planning will integrate the management plans of city development, and the establishment the Alliance to Develop the City Plan will help improve the coordination between related agencies. In addition, the beneficial factors of each unit will be applied in the city planning systematically, and this would benefit investment, balance development, and the proper distribution of funds to the local people. Interior Minister Kongsak reiterated at the workshop that the city plan must consider the people’s wants and needs as well as the future growth.
