James Packer one of the richest men in Australia...recently he just opened up another Casino with his Crown Casino group..he picked the Phillipines City of Manila !!!

I think gambling for 'real' money is illegal in Thailand. But I'm presuming it is not illegal in Phillipines and of course you have Cambodia also.

Pattaya would be the logical place, and a number of investors are speculating on that possibility. But the ones who actually have the power to make that kind of decision have considerable land holding elsewhere, ie Hua Hin and surrounds. So, if they do ever decide to build a casino (and that won't happen until other major events unfold) there is every likelihood it won't be in Pattaya - even if it should be.

Are you saying Pattaya is NOT a tourist city? I think it gets more tourists than any other city in Thailand.

Every real estate agent will tell you a casino is coming to Pattaya anyway, and coincidentally it will always be very close to any ridiculously priced piece of land they have for sale!!

Oh yeah, and of course gambling is illegal in Thailand.
