Throw the book at this super freak. He never was a monk. He just wore the robe. He is a degenerate. Lock him up for the rest of his natural life. Shame him, humiliate him, allow him to be exposed to his fellow prisoners, where he will become a slave to them. It is incumbent on the government to make sure he is tried, convinced, and sentenced to life in prison.

+1... Let him pay HARD for his crimes.

I am worried about Thai kids in this country. What we see is just the tip of the ice berg. Even if Thai families seem to care a lot about their kids, I think in almost every family there could be a dark secret and since no one wants to lose face , the abuse are allowed to carry on.

No surprise here, many Thai people throw their children at monks knowing what is going on, what people will do for religion, you either love it or you hate it, I notice that many monks now are just cardboard cut outs, of the real monks,

"who had been removed from the monkhood so he could face charges of sexually assaulting his 10 year old step-daughter over the period of 3 months."

Interesting..... Has to be removed from the monkhood before they can press charges?

It's the same with the catholic priest pedo's. They can't be convicted in a court of law as long as they are priest, and the cowards at the top refuse to dishonor them, probably as they are afraid that more dead bodies fall out of the closet.

Who said priests can not be convicted in a court of law, it is just a title not an exemption from prosecution,

Lots of men join monk hood for a certain amount of time. Can be for inner peace can be to be "cured" from alcoholism, abnormal social behaviour or just to fulfil the unwritten rule in Thai culture that every boy/man should be a monk for a certain amount of time.

Monks are not living above the law, meaning that they should behave. If not, they will be disrobed and punished accordingly. A robed monk is living outside the society in poverty, peace and without prejudice, that's why they never will be trialed while robed.
