Facebook helps Thai man find mother after 20 years apart

Bangkok:- Thanks to Facebook, a 26-year-old fitness club trainer has found his biological mother after she left him with his foster parents twenty years ago.

According to Thairath Online, Pisut Inthasa believes that he managed to find his mother, Amnuay Pirommun, 46, because of the new Facebook policy to have users use their real names to identify themselves.

Pisut recounted that his foster parents, Prakorb and Suwaneee Inthasa, love him and have taken good care of him and sent him through school in Songkhla’s Hat Yai district. Moreover, his foster sister paid for his university until he graduated from the Faculty of Sports Science & Technology, Mahidol University.

He said he was not mad at his biological parents who left him because he learned that their marriage failed and both had to work. They initially hired Pisut’s foster parents to take care of him but never returned to pick him up.

Pisut said he had tried to use Google to search for his mother’s name but he failed to locate her.

But one day after Google required users to use real name, a woman with the same surname with his mother, added him as her friend. He talked to her online and found out that the woman, Aree Pirommun, is a niece of his mother. Aree later took him to see his mother on February 2.

Pisut recounted that he did not try to hold back his tears while giving his mother the first hug. She is now living alone at a house in Pathum Thani. Pisut is working in neighboring province of Nonthaburi.

Pisut promises to take good care of his mother for the rest of her life although she has never taken care of him.

I would have thought that in common with other Thais the unknown father might be the one everyone's looking for.

D'you see what I did there? LOL wai.gif

Awww...how sweet.

Let's tell Facebook--a company started by an amoral, creepy, lying ideas thief--all our personal details on the off chance that we may discover a long-lost relative.
