Big bike registration when entering Malaysia temporary

Does anyone know if it is still necessary to register the bike in Malaysia and get the sticker with a Malaysian plate number?

Yes, it was so two weeks ago when I went there. You also need your green book interpreted to English, the compulsory Malay insurance and and a valid drivers license.

Yes after you have checked into Malaysia, on the right-hand side after you passed the tax free complex.

But the translation of the green book you have to do at a DLT office in Thailand.

I just pay another 1970,00 THB to LMG and my thai insurace will be extendet to all ASEAN countries

Lock that mother up. Big bike theft is rampant there. Make sure the bike is in a super secure area or move it every day or so.

Very true, I know a Thai based expat that got his 1mill baht Harley nicked and he never saw it again.
