PATTAYA: -- A domestic dispute resulted in the assault of a Soldier after residents of a South Pattaya Village mistook the man for a necklace thief.

The incident occurred in the early hours of Monday in Soi Tamasamakee Temple 1 and resulted in the arrest of Private Attapon aged 23, who had earlier been picked up by his girlfriend, Khun Pimpira aged 20, from his barracks in Bangkok.

As the pair travelled to Pattaya, arguments began and when they arrived at their home, a full-blown physical confrontation began where the soldier allegedly produced a knife to intimidate his girlfriend and he is also accused of ripping a gold necklace from around her neck.

That is a meat cleaver. Who pulls a meat cleaver on their girlfriend? blink.png

Private Attapon has a life of battering girlfriends ahead of him. This guy is a serious nutter. And yet no charges were pressed.

No charges were made because the man's girlfriend didn't want that.

I just hope she won't live (or die) to regret that decision.

Although in Thailand the police will try to sweep any personal relationship issue under the carpet, it is not necessary for the victim to press charges if others have witnessed the assault and / or the meat cleaver.

Another son who has been feted all his life and believes he is the centre of the universe. His parents must be very proud: all that money putting him into the monk-hood for a spell + sin sot when he is released for good behaviour has produced another fine specimen.

I hasten to point out the irony in the above.

Usually situations like this where the girl loves the bad boy doesnt end well.

I wonder what his superiors his Army barracks think about this event in the paper, not that anything would happen if it was not reported in the press.
