I have lived here in Pattaya for 13 years and have a car and motor bike. The insurance was up for renewal on the bike, so I duly went into the office and paid the premium. I have NEVER had a single claim, but the premiums still went up every year.

No receipt was received, so my Thai wife rang the hotline up in BKK and was told that as I would be over 75 half way through this year, they could not insure me anymore and would refund the money.

Can any members help me on getting insurance. I am so scared going out on the bike now, as there are so many crazy drivers on the road.

Any ideas?

What if the vehicles are in your wife's name, can't you still drive them and be fully insured, despite you are 75 years old?

I assume you got both Thai driver licenses for car & bike? This is a must.
