Lite Beer
Reward for Bangkok pipe bombers doubledThe Nation BANGKOK: -- The reward for information leading to the arrest of two men suspected of planting and detonating two pipe bombs near Siam Paragon last week has been increased to Bt200,000, a senior police investigator said yesterday. An increase of Bt100,000 had been offered by a Good Samaritan who preferred not to be identified and was on top of Bt100,000 offered by the police, said Pol Maj-General Jitti Rodbangyang, a deputy Metropolitan Police Bureau commissioner. He said police could not tell whether the two suspects seen carrying out the attacks in surveillance-camera footage were still in Thailand or had fled abroad.MPB commissioner Pol Lt-General Sriwara Ransibrahmanakul said police could not hasten inquiries, as demanded by the media, as further evidence about the suspects was needed. chooka
They have warrants for them, so they must have thier identity. Identify them to the community and I am sure someone will know where they are.

Caveat Emptor
Can't help think the BIB are blindly thrashing about with this, why else would they apply for search warrants to arrest unidentified suspects ? On the other hand, playing devil's advocate, is it part of an elaborate scheme to distract by looking as if something's being done while the desire is the exact opposite and there's a couple of good theories as to why that might be. If this is a carefully concocted scheme i would think some from outside the BIB is pulling the strings as the RTP aren't exactly known for their intelligence.
noitom
Preposterous circus affair. Can you imagine in most countries a double bomb event in the most tourist populated and traveled areas of a city like Bangkok where the police authorities are clueless and helpless? Only in Thailand, yet they claim that Bangkok is secure and safe.
emilymat
I seem to remember splash headlines some time ago that arrests 'were imminent'. Teach them not to spout off too early. As for the anonymous 'doner' I hazard a guess it's ............well I'd better not say it but begins with 'g'

Reigntax
They have warrants for them, so they must have thier identity. Identify them to the community and I am sure someone will know where they are.You may remember that the first arrest warrants were issued in the name of unidentified persons on the basis that one possibly had a limp and the other a white long sleeve shirt. At that time they were boasting about these arrest warrants being issued but anyone with any knowledge of the law knows that an arrest warrant has to identify the specific person and cannot be based on a generic appearance. This is why the announcement of arrest warrants being issued was just a farce and obviously done by someone who has no legal knowledge. I assume that could be any police representative or officer. What would concern me more is that someone in charge is letting this occur and it only reinforces the current poor opinion, lack of enforcement skills and failure to follow correct procedures of the police in general. There also appears to be a fixation on publicising their expected success when they actually have no idea or clue. It's a 'receive credit before it's due' attitude and they more often than not, fail to achieve any success. WhizBang
But, but, but... I thought arrests were imminent. Once again, the RTP shows their total lack of proffesionalism to the world.
