PATTAYA:--Pattaya’s Tourist Police Division, assisted by their Tourist Police Volunteers began a 24 hour security operation on Friday to ensure that Thai and Foreign Tourists remain safe.

Police Major Piyapong, the new Inspector-in-Charge of the Tourist Police Station in Pattaya, began his safety campaign as he believes that criminal elements may exploit vulnerable tourists who may be looking for love on Valentine’s Day.

Officers began their campaign by touring hotels and love motels around Pattaya to ask for assistance from Hoteliers who have been asked to look out for anything suspicious and ensure that ID cards of all guests, especially those who were not registered when the occupier of the room originally check-in, are kept until the registered guest requests the ID card to be returned.
