Some good work there, could be a glimpse of a distant past though the way things are panning out these days.

Pretty sure soon there will be McD's, Starbucks and all that crap over there, at least there will be jobs though.

You might want to check out the work of Roberto Salas, I don't think anyone else has took close up's of Che and Castro before like his or his fathers shots.

Wouldn't surprise me if you know him, he's done stints in Asia too back in the day.

^^^ RW...

Roberto Salas...Never had the chance to meet him RW.

Would have loved to by the way.

The friend of mine & biz partner who passed away recently

took 2 years off after inheriting quite a few million bucks

and went to do Latin America & Cuba as a lifelong dream.

When he returned to HK he has all these fantastic shots of

where he went & what he saw & what he did (read cute

latin chix)...he had a great time. Now he's gone & his pix

& vids are just laying on storage drives waiting for a few of

us to do something with them for him. He fell in love with

Cuba and the people & it shows very well in his work.

What & where we do with his stuff remains undecided at

this moment however we may donate the lot to the FCCHK

archives. He had no surviving family to claim anything.

Cuba is a place I'd like to "do" also before I get too old to

travel long distances plus a couple countries in Latin

America interest me...however...Southeast Asia is my

patch & I like it here.

Perhaps Cuba will remain just a pipe dream.

All that said...here's a couple links to another photographer

...one who many people will never realise that he even knew

how to operate a camera....quite amazing IMO...and he loved

Rolex!
