AJBangkok
I am trying to update the operating system on my android TV box. The instructions are to download the zip file and save it to the root directory of a memory stick. They say if you don't save it in the root directory it won't update the system. So how do I make sure it's in the root directory of the memory stick. Normally I would just save to drive x or whatever USB port the memory stick was plugged into. RichCor
The 'root' directory is the first directory ' \ ', before any folders (sub directories). Analogous to c:\ So, SD_Card not in any folder
Pib
When saving it to the USB drive just be sure not to save it to any directory/folder you may created to file various files. Let's say your USB drive was E: drive...just be sure to save it to E:\ You will not see any folder name "root."
koo wallety tourist
try what they say. then if not go, create a directory called /root then save to that.
WhizBang
try what they say. then if not go, create a directory called /root then save to that. Noooooo. As stated above, save to the equivalent of C:\ on your SD card. So if your SD card is drive F, then save it to F:\. NO FOLDERS/DIRECTORIES.
