Hi !

5 years ago I got a 1 year non-O visa with multiple entry. I was not obliged to leave every 3 months. I could stay 12 months in a row.

Is that still possible ?

I had just to show 200'000 THB on a bank account and could use that money until next 1 one renewing.

I saw that the requested amount increased to 400'000.-- or 65'000 THB earnings on a monthly basis. If doing the 400k THB, can the money be expensed during the year or not ?

Anyway, I will propably use the 65'000 THB/monthly to get my visa. Indeed I earn that money from Insurance company as I'm invalid and thefore cannot work. Will the Thai immigration grants me an non-O if I tell them that I'm sick ?

What happens with the Tax on that monthly earnings ? I know that my country (Switzerland) hase signed a Tax treaty with Thailand in order to void double tax payment.

I will receive a monthly amount of more than 110k THB if sent to thailand. That might change a little according to currency exchange rate.

What are the tax %tage of such an amount ?

Thanks in advance from your support.

The support Thai wife extension of stay requirement is 400k or 40k per month so you should not have have trouble meeting that. Money can and should be used to support you/wife and there is normally no tax problems if you are not working her.

Just to add that you need to be on the 1 year extension if you do not want to leave the kingdom during the year. If you are on multiple entry visa, you must leave the kinddom and come back
