Take a wander up Soi Phottisarn.... The room won't be big but it will be cheap.

Rooms are available for 4000 thb there as I heard.

thats what I pay.... water and electric are extra but 4K for a small room with wifi and cable is good if thats what you need. For me it is simply a breathing space but in all honesty the area is really growing on me. There are so many food options be they the local talad or inexpensive 100 bht restaurants or down on to Soi Naklua if you want something more... laundries all over the place and it's close to work with a 24 hr Motocy station for when I get called out in the middle of the night.... I just wish I could find a really big unit here where I could have a kitchen and a separate lounge and bedroom and I would be very happy.
